Cycling the Rallarvegen (the Navvies’ Road) normally takes several days and you will need something to eat en route. There are a number of different options on offer, depending on where the tour stars and ends.

Haugastøl Turistsenter: If you arrive at Haugastøl by train, bus or car, you can have a meal at Haugastøl Turistsenter before you set off on your bike. Or you  can book a picnic lunch that you can enjoy in the great outdoors en route. You can also fill your thermos with a hot drink such as coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

Finse: In Finse, you can have a meal at Finsehytta or at the Rallarmuseet. At Rallarmuseet, you can have ‘sluskesuppe’ (the soup eaten by the navvies working on the railway), warm waffles and coffee/tea. You can combine a bite to eat with a guided tour of the museum.

Fagernut Vokterbolig: This is the former signalman's cabin that is located 10 kilometres from Finse having passed the highest point on the cycling tour. The same food is served here as at Rallarmuseet.

Vatnahalsen Høyfjellshotell: The hotel is located two kilometres from Myrdal station on the Bergen Railway. It is located just before you start the descent down to Flåm, 27 kilometres from Flåm. Here you can have a two-course or three-course lunch with coffee/tea. The hotel also offers smoked cured meat, sour cream porridge and a lunch buffet for groups of 25 or more.

Flåm: Finally at the end of the road! In Flåm, you can have lunch or dinner at Fretheim Hotel, Furukroa or the Ægir Brewery. For more information, please see; Meals at destinations; Flåm.
