We close our online booking system 7 days before departure. If you are travelling within 7 days you can call our Customer Service to book: 0047 815 68 222 (option 1).
Another option is to buy tickets at the Tourist Information or at the NSB ticket office at the railway station in Oslo, Bergen or Voss.
Fjord 1, located at Strandkaiterminalen in Bergen is also selling Fjord Tours round trips.

I use a wheelchair; which tour would your recommend? Read answer
We recommend you to take our Sognefjord in a nutshell tour.
It is also possible to take the Norway in a nutshell ® tour. But then you need to have a foldable wheelchair and you must travel with a companion that can help you along the route. The buses are not accessible for wheelchairs, so wheelchair must be foldable so that it can be placed in the trunk. -
Can I bring a stroller on the tour? Read answer
Yes, you can bring a stroller with you on the tour. Please write in the comment box that you have a stroller with you because we have to make special seat reservations on regional trains.

We are not able to split the train ticket between Oslo-Myrdal/Myrdal-Oslo, so if you want to stop at Finse or Geilo on the Norway in a nutshell® tour you need to buy a new seat reservation for the train to Myrdal or Oslo the next day.

Yes, there is one ship taking you on the Geiranger cruise from Ålesund, and a different ship taking you from Ålesund to Bergen. You can board the Hurtigruten ship from Ålesund to Bergen at midnight.

If you have Scanrail / Eurail Pass you can buy additional tickets for the Norway in a nutshell® and Sognefjord in a nutshell tours at the NSB ticket office at the Railway Stations in Oslo and Bergen and at our Customer Service phone: 0047 815 68 222. These tickets include all transport except NSB trains.

When do you recommend me to buy the tickets for the tour? Read answer
We recommend you to buy tickets for the tours as soon as you have decided when you want to travel. It is a good idea to buy the tickets in advance because some trains might be fully booked close to departure, especially in the high season.
If you don't have the opportunity to buy the tour in advance you can buy it in one of our sales outlets when you get to Norway.
The Geiranger & Norway in a nutshell® tour, the Hurtigruten & Norway in a nutshell® tour and the Lysefjord & Norway in a nutshell® tour can only be bought in advance on our website www.fjordtours.com or at our Customer service phone: 0047 815 68 222.

Can I pick up the round trip tickets earlier than 1 hour before departure? Read answer
You can pick up the tickets earlier as long as you bring with you the final confirmation from Fjord Tours containing your reference number for your tour. Opening hours for the ticket office is written on the booking confirmation.
Please note that you can pick up your tickets at all our sales outlets in Norway. -

Is it possible to cancel a trip I have ordered on the Internet? Read answer
It is not possible to change tour bookings made on the Internet. The tickets are non-refundable.
Please ensure that you have valid travel insurance that covers your loss if any incidents should occur that prevent you from making use of your tickets and taking the trip you have booked.
As a service to you, we offer cancellation protection which you may purchase together with your trip.

Trips bought online, can only be cancelled if you have bought the cancellation protection together with your trip. The cancellation protection is not a travel insurance. No, there is no guide on our tours. You travel on your own. The connections are all within close proximity of each other for easy transfer. Stops are always announced over the speakers.

Is it possible to stop along the route? Read answer
Yes, you can make as many overnight stops as you like along the route, but it is important that you inform us about where you want to stay overnight when you book the tour.

You must bring a printout of the e-mail confirmation when picking up tickets.

How do I pick up my tickets? Read answer
The safest way of picking up your tickets is to collect them at any NSB ticket office in Norway.
The ticket offices are located at the railway stations. We recommend that travellers meet at the station at least half an hour before departure. The tickets can be picked up as soon you receive your e-mail confirmation. Tickets can also be sent to your address.

Is there any way that we can send our luggage separately? Read answer
If you book hotels together with the tour, you will also get an offer to book luggage transport between the hotels on some legs of the route.

How many tickets do I need? Read answer
All tours have one main ticket where all the legs of the tour is marked. This ticket is a valid travel document for all the legs of the route.
Where seat reservation is needed (marked ‘R’), separate tickets will be issued by Fjord Tours to indicate where you are seated.

The Hurtigruten & Norway in a nutshell® tour and the Geiranger & Norway in a nutshell® tour also have a separate ticket for the Hurtigruten coastal ship. -
Do I have to make any seat reservations myself? Read answer
All needed seat reservations are made by Fjord Tours. The seat number will be confirmed on your tickets.
There are no seat reservations on the Flåm Railway and local trains on the Bergen Railway, nor do the buses and boats have seats that can be reserved.
If you are travelling between Oslo and Myrdal, you will need a seat reservation on the train. Bookings that include this leg of the route must be made for an exact date as seat reservations cannot be changed once tickets have been paid for. -
What does ‘R’ in the itineraries mean? Read answer
It means ‘seat reservation needed’. If the transport is not marked with R in the itinerary there is free seating.
