If you're looking for one of the best views of the city, you should take a trip to Mount Fløyen - one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen. It takes about 30-45 minutes to get to the top on foot. 

If you don’t want to walk, you can take the famous Funicular (Fløibanen), which takes you from the city centre to the top of Mount Fløyen. The ride itself is spectacular and the view of Bergen gets better the closer you get to the top. Once at the top, you can choose from a vast number of hikes in the mountains. There is also a café and restaurant with breathtaking views. The funicular runs every day all year, from early morning to late in the evening.
