The most well-known attraction in Alvdal is the Aukrust Centre. In a stunning building, designed by the architect Sverre Fehn, the most famous son of Alvdal, Kjell Aukrust, is presented in a unique and exciting manner.
Røros is only an hour’s drive north of Alvdal. This old mining community is included on the Unesco World Heritage List.
