Årdalstangen is the smaller of the two towns in Årdal municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane on the west coast of Norway. The two towns are encircled by valleys and smaller villages.

Årdalstangen is situated innermost in the Sognefjord and forms the gateway to the Jotunheimen mountains from the west. Its location makes Årdalstangen an excellent base for many round trips across the region.
