Svelgen is a village in the municipality of Bremanger in the county of Sogn og Fjordane. Nearby attractions include Northern Europe’s tallest sea cliff and Northern Europe’s biggest rock carving site, Vingen.
Svelgen has exceptionally good walking terrain with marked and mapped trails around Norway’s westernmost glacier Ålfotbreen, and it is an ideal starting point for day trips by car to the Geirangerfjord and the Nærøyfjord, Stryn summer ski centre and the Briksdal glacier.
