The Rallarvegen (the Navvies’ Road) was a road used by navvies during the construction of the Bergen Railway. Today, it is best known as a cycle route of exceptional beauty that offers a multitude of experiences. It takes you from the roof of Norway right down to the fjords.
The Rallarvegen road is 80 kilometres long. It starts in Haugastøl, continues on to Finse and then Hallingskeid via Vatnahalsen and down to Flåm. You can start either at Haugastøl or Finse, where you can also pick up your rental bike.
You can bring your luggage on your bike, rent a luggage bag for the bike or have it transported by train. There are several hotels and cabins where you can spend the night en route.
Fjord Tours Group office takes care of every detail of your trip. This includes organising train tickets, accommodation, bike rental, luggage transport, meals and a guide.
We advise groups to book early, especially if you wish to do the trip at a weekend during high season.

We recommend a stop at the navvies museum Rallarmuseet at Finse and/or at the signalman's cabin Fagernut Vokterbolig. You can have lunch at both places.
In Flåm valley it is also possible to have a traditional Norwegian meal at Haugen Gard.
Combine the cycling trip with the Norway in a nutshell® or Sognefjord in a nutshell tour.
