Brakanes Hotel by Fjordtind enjoys a unique setting on the Hardanger fjord in the village of Ulvik, a popular but still tranquil tourist destination.
The venerable hotel, established in 1860, is surrounded by tall mountains, shimmering fjords and a well-maintained cultural landscape.

All rooms with fjordview have been renovated in a nordic style, so you will find the hotel both modern and well kept traditional. It is renowned for its good, traditional food, prepared using local produce. In main season, vegetables and herbs are just rolled down the hill from a share farming.

The hotel offers a wide range of exciting activities in both summer and winter. Visit the farms along the Fruit- and Cider Route - the only one in Norway, and learn about and taste real Hardanger culture. Pay a visit to Olav H. Hauge-center, which is an activitybased exhibition presenting the life of the worldknown poet from Ulvik, in what was named the best museum in Norway in 2015.

You can also experience the stunning nature by joining morning earlybird-kayaktours on the fjord right outside the hotel, or climb high mountains by foot, on skies or snowshoes. Or just enjoy the fjordview from your balcony or our exclusive sauna and tub right at the edge of the fjord.

Check into the fjord and experience Norway at its best!
