Oslo–Trondheim

From Oslo, you drive to Hamar, where the Hamar Olympic Hall is well worth a visit. Continuing to Lillehammer, you can stroll up the Olympic ski jump hill to get a beautiful view of the landscape of Mjøsa. The Olympic town, with its low-rise wooden houses, has a number of attractions, such as the Maihaugen Open Air Museum, the Olympic Museum and the nearby Hunderfossen amusement park.

From Lillehammer, you continue on the main E6 road to Dombås and on to the Dovrefjell mountains, both excellent starting points for well-marked mountain walks in the Rondane and Dovrefjell national parks.

The last stop on this lovely, cultural experience is the city of Trondheim. The capital of Central Norway has a lot to offer. The beautiful Nidaros Cathedral is a highlight you won’t want to miss during your stay in Trondheim.

On your way north from Lillehammer we recommend you to take the trip up to Ringebu mountain, where you can enjoy typical Norwegian mountain scenery: a great mountain plateau and majestic mountains. The beautiful scenery will really relax you and give you peace of mind.

Alvdal
If you want to visit the well-known Aukrust centre in Alvdal, turn off the E6 onto the RV 2 and drive into the fantastic Rondane mountain area. Follow the RV 29, pass Folldal and drive until you arrive in Alvdal.
