Trondheim - Oslo

From Trondheim, take the main E6 road to Dombås and on to the Dovrefjell mountains, both excellent starting points for well-marked mountain walks in the Rondane and Dovrefjell national parks.

From Dombås the trip continues south to Lillehammer, where you can stroll up the Olympic ski jump hill and get a beautiful view of the landscape of Mjøsa. The Olympic town with its low-rise wooden houses offers a number of attractions such as the Maihaugen Open Air Museum, the Olympic Museum and the nearby Hunderfossen amusement park.

Continue on the E 6 to Hamar, where the Hamar Olympic Hall is well worth a visit. Then head for Oslo,   capital of Norway and the last stop on this lovely, cultural trip.

If you want to visit the well-known Aukrust centre in Alvdal, turn off the E 6 onto the RV 29. Drive into the fantastic Rondane mountain area. Follow the RV 29 past Folldal until you arrive in Alvdal.
