Multi Day Tours in Norway

Our most popular tours for three + days in Norway. Get the most from your visit by booking an experience packed tour over several days here!

Norway in a nutshell®

This is Norway’s most popular tour as the full tour takes you across stunning mountain and fjord landscapes. You start with a comfortable train ride on the Bergen Railway from Oslo to Myrdal where you change to the Flåm Railway, on countless «most scenic train trips» lists, down the mountain to Flåm. From Flåm you take the ferry through the majestic Aurlandsfjord, and the narrow and dramatic UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord to the village of Gudvangen. From here, you continue the tour with a scenic bus ride to Voss before you make your way to Bergen by train. A stay in Bergen for a couple of days is recommendable before returning to Oslo by train. It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Norway.

The best part is you can customize the trip as you like, start and end where you like, stay and do what you like along the way! We recommend a three day itinerary.

Sognefjord in a nutshell

This is a longer, slightly more extensive tour. The Sognefjord is called the King of the fjords for a good reason: it is not only the longest fjord in Norway, it is also an area of exceptional natural beauty. You can experience the train ride between Oslo and Bergen and the spectacular Flåm Railway on this tour as well, and include a fjord cruise on the Sognefjord. A stopover in the charming fjord village Balestrand is "a must" before continuing on the trip to Oslo or Bergen. You have the same flexibility when booking this tour to customize it according to your own interests.

Hardangerfjord in a nutshell

Our third option is for lovers of flowers and waterfalls, in particular, as it includes Norway’s largest waterfall, Vøringsfossen and a trip through idyllic orchards. The Hardanger region is famous for its apples (and apple cider), fruits and the fruit trees in blossom. This tour starts with the Bergen Railway, in Oslo or Bergen, and from Bergen you go by train to Voss, then bus to the charming Ulvik village. From here, you’ll go by boat on the Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord where you take the sightseeing bus to visit the Norwegian Nature Centre in Hardanger and the Vøringfossen Waterfall. Back in Eidfjord you continue with a fjord cruise to see several majestic waterfalls on the way to Norheimsund where a bus takes you back to Bergen.

Hurtigruten & Norway in a nutshell®

How about combining a «once in a lifetime experience» with another? Experience scenic railways, UNESCO listed fjords and charming villages and cities on the Norway in a nutshell® tour. Top it off with the «world’s most beautiful sea voyage» on the Hurtigruten coastal cruise line. This is what our tour combining our classic Norway in a nutshell® tour with a Hurtigruten sea voyage offers; getting a distilled, dense and unique Norway experience.

Mountains, fjords and coast are the main «building blocks» that make up this country, and seeing it all on one single ticket will leave you with a lifetime of memories! You can choose to start your journey in Oslo, Bergen as well as Trondheim. All routes have unforgettable highlights: fjord cruises on UNESCO listed fjords, the famous «Flåmsbana» railway, an optional visit to the UNESCO listed Røros mining town, a sea voyage through narrow fjords at the feet of towering mountains, as well as a visit to three of Norway’s most fascinating cities.
