The tour starts with a bus tour from Svolvær to Stokmarknes, the home town of the Hurtigruten. On the way you will experience a scenic ferry between Lofoten Islands and Vesterålen before you arrive Stokmarknes where a visit to the Hurtigruten Museum awaits. This museum is dedicated to showcasing the history of the Hurtigruten coastal steamer which has been operating in Norway for over 120 years. Visitors can explore the history of the ships and their role in connecting the coastal communities of Norway, as well as learn about the various destinations along the way.
After visiting the Hurtigruten Museum, the next highlight on this tour is a self guided walk in Stokmarknes. Via the Digital Story app you can explore the coastal city by foot. The story app will bring you to Artscape Nordland sculptures at Børøya, passing the impressive bridge between Hadseløya and Børøya. You´ll end the tour at the local Rødbrygga bar, overlooking the area.
After ending the interesting walk though the streets of Stokmarknes, the last but not least highlight on your tour is the once-in-a-lifetime Hurtigruten cruise through the magnificent Trollfjord. The Trollfjord is a narrow and breathtaking fjord located in the Lofoten Islands and is known for its towering cliffs and crystal-clear waters. During the cruise back to Svolvær, you will be able to admire the stunning scenery and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this remote and unspoiled part of Norway.
