The Lillehammer region boasts a multitude of adventure and activities, whether you’re feeling playful or sporty, looking for a challenge or an authentic experience.

Playful – Attractions that bring out the child in you!

Lillehammer has a multitude of attractions for big and small. The amusement and winter park Hunderfossen, Lilliputthammer, the leisure pools Jorekstad Fritidsbad, the children’s farm Barnas Gård – and much, much more. You can choose your own adventure and activities. Ready for fun, games and laughs?

Sporty – Surroundings that give your energy!

Nature plays a major role in the Lillehammer region. The opportunities are endless! You can go cycling or walking on paths and country lanes, or hike in the mountains and hillsides. You only need one lift pass to access Lillehammer Ski Resort’s five alpine centres and 2,000 km of cross-country ski trails. The Lillehammer region is home to the mountains of Rondane, Gålå, Kvitfjell, Espedalen, Skeikampen, Hafjell, Nordseter and Sjusjøen

Challanges – Activities that set the adrenaline flowing!

Adrenaline is a strong force, it makes you feel alive. Hafjell Bike Park is one of Norway’s best downhill cycling arenas. GoRafting, located on the banks of the world famous river Sjoa, offers whitewater rafting for all levels, in addition to canyoning, river surfing, bridge swinging and glacier walking. At Lillehammer Olympic bob and luge track you can try bob rafting, taxi bob and skeleton: each an unforgettable experience.

Authenticity – The region that speaks to your heart!

Gudbrandsdalen is at the core of the Lillehammer region’s cultural heritage. Visit the open air museum Maihaugen to explore and experience Gudbrandsdalen through the ages. Travel through the valley of Gudbrandsdalen to experience the cultural landscape close up. Every summer at the end of July the heritage organisation Kulturgardar organises the event Gardmillom, which gives you a taste of culture, food and activities in the heart of Gudbrandsdalen.

Last but not least, Lillehammer is famous for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics: ”You have presented to the entire world – the best Olympic winter Games ever!” (IOC president Juan Antonio Samaranch).
