Read more about the terms and conditions that apply when you book a tour online from Fjord Tours, from an agent, or from a sales outlet.

Online sales from Fjord Tours

Tours

Tours can be changed or canceled until 13 days before departure for a fee of 200 NOK per order. For changes and cancellations later than 13 days before departure, there is no refund. This also applies if you book less than 13 days before the start date of the tour.

If you want to change the number of travelers on your booking, you must contact us to cancel the entire booking. It must be re-booked for the remaining travelers. If a route is fully booked, we do not normally take the chance to cancel and lose reserved seat reservations for the rest of the party. Please consider this before thinking about reducing the number of people in your order.

All changes require available capacity. Any price increases are borne by the customer. Fjord Tours does not offer cancellation insurance and we recommend everyone to take out private travel insurance that covers cancellations.

Please arrive well in advance for the departure of your trip.

Extraordinaryconditions

If parts of the tour or transport elements can not be completed (due to traffic interruptions, disruptions, or similar), you will be given a refund for the affected transport elements.

If the tour has to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (such as natural disasters, government actions, industrial disputes, or other events that make it difficult or inadvisable to proceed with the trip), you will be given a refund for the tour.

Fjord Tours is responsible for informing you of significant changes that apply to your booking.

Activities

An activity can be changed or canceled up to 13 days before departure free of charge. For changes and cancellations later than 13 days before departure, there is no refund. This also applies if you book less than 13 days before the start date of the activity.

Bad weather does not give grounds for cancellation. If, on the other hand, the supplier has to cancel for safety reasons due to bad weather conditions, a refund will be given.

Fjord Tours does not offer cancellation insurance and we recommend everyone to take out private travel insurance that covers cancellations.

Hotels & accommodations

Accommodation booked through Fjord Tours will be held until 18:00 on the day of arrival unless otherwise agreed. The room rate normally includes breakfast with the exception of self-catering hotels and accommodations.

Cancellation must be made no later than 18:00 the day before scheduled arrival unless otherwise specified, otherwise, the credit card will be charged for the first night per. hotel booking.

The credit card will not be charged when you book online with Fjord Tours. Payment is made directly to the hotel or accommodation upon departure.

Luggage transfer

You need to drop off your luggage at the reception at your hotel before 06:30. You can pick up the luggage at your arrival hotel from 21:00 the same day. You have to stay at the hotels your luggage will be transferred between. Fjord Tours will not be responsible for your luggage if you make other accommodation arrangements.

You must mark all luggage with your name and your booking order id in advance since we cannot transport luggage without knowing the name of the owner and the Fjord Tours order id. An individual waybill and reference will be attached for each piece of luggage. A copy of the waybill will be left in the reception of the hotel you are sending the luggage from. You need to have your own travel insurance in case of damage to the luggage.

Damage demonstrably applied in our custody will be compensated by our subcontractor or their insurance company according to their principles. Delayed delivery after 23:00 is compensated with NOK 250 per unit. If delivery is delayed until the next day we will refund expenses to the necessary purchase of toiletries, underwear, etc. If the delay is caused by factors outside of our control (e.g. force majeure, accident, closed roads, etc), we are not obliged to such compensations.

Cancellations until 10 days prior to the start date of the luggage transfer are refunded 100%, cancellation later than 10 days prior to departure cannot be done or be refunded. Cancellations need to be completed through Fjord Tours customer service, or else they will not be refunded

Sales agents and distributors

For tours purchased from sales agents or distributors, please refer to the terms and conditions of the agent/distributor, as well as the regulations of the sales country in question.
