I have a rental car with AutoPass. Can I pay for the car ferry with AutoPass?

Accepted Answer

No, Kaupanger-Gudvangen and Hellesylt-Geiranger are commercial, and cannot be paid by AutoPass.

I have not booked a place on the car ferry. Can I just show up?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but you are not guaranteed a space. We recommend prebooking a ticket to be guaranteed a space.

Can I add a vehicle to my booking reservation without a driver/passenger?

No, a driver is always included in the price of the vehicle.

Is there a audio guide on board the car ferry?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the Geiranger-Hellesylt ferry.

Question 5

When do I have to be present if I have book a place on the car ferry?

Accepted Answer

All pre-booked vehicles and their passengers must be present in the correct line at the departure pier 20min prior to scheduled departure time. Later arrivals cannot be guaranteed for transport.

Are there power outlets on board the trains?

Accepted Answer

Trains on the Bergen Railway Oslo–Bergen have power outlets at every seat and also in all the sleeping compartments.

Are there power outlets on board the local trains?

Accepted Answer

There are no power outlets on the older local trains, but on new local trains (called Flirt trains) you will find outlets at every seat.

Do you sell alcohol on the train?

Yes, alcoholic drinks can be bought and consumed in our café on board. Alcoholic drinks may not be drunk anywhere else on the train and you may not bring your own with you.

How much luggage may I bring on the train?

You may bring up to three pieces of luggage with a maximum total, combined weight of 30 kilograms. You are responsible for your own luggage during your journey and you must be able to carry it on board and place it in a suitable location.
