Eliassen Rorbuer

Welcome to the oldest fisherman’s cottage resort in the Lofoten Islands, a stunning place with a story and a heart. Here you will find traditional and modern fisherman’s cottages, sea house apartments and restaurant Gadus.

Our oldest fishermen’s cottages were once used by fishermen from all over Norway as accommodation during the world’s biggest annual cod fishing event in Lofoten, which takes place from January to April.

Most of the cottages have been renovated and the genuine character and décor of the cabins reminds our guests of their original use. Each cottage has one or two bedrooms, full equipped kitchen, big living and dining room with comfortable furniture, bathroom with shower and high-speed free Wi-Fi acceTaste high quality local food with Italian twist in our newly renovated restaurant Gadus.

Take some memorable pictures from the Hamnøy bridge, enjoy the Midnight Sun, climb the famous mountains Reinebringen or Ryten, join a local fisherman and catch your first cod or chase the Northern Lights between September and March. Or do you feel like kayak paddling or trying some other outdoor activity with one of our local partners? The opportunities here are endless both in summer and winter!

Have an unforgettable experience in Lofoten Islands!
