The trip starts by kayak, paddling through Brosundet before crossing Aspevågen south of Ålesund city. After that we paddle around Slinnings point, home of the famous Slinnings bonfire. The kayaks are so put to shore at Hessa where the hike towards Mt. Sukkertoppen starts.

Meeting and starting point is at the activity centre at Brunholmen in Ålesund city, a perfect starting point for kayak trips. Here you will get kitted out with all the mandatory equipment and get a safety briefing before starting the trip.

There are both single and double kayaks available, making this activity suitable for families, inexperienced and the more skilled kayakers. This activity has 3 daily departures during the whole summer. 

Good to know

• Meeting point: Notenesgata 3, at Uteguiden i the centre of Ålesund. Please be there 20 min before your booked time
• Duration: Ca 5h, 30min
• Age limit: Children 6-12, adults from 13 years
• The price includes all necessary equipment. Both single and double kayaks available
• Dress according to the weather. It's always smart to bring a waterproof jacket, some snacks, a cap or hat, sunglasses, water for the trip, some extra clothes and your camera
