Tour description

Your day starts by taking a bus ride from Svolvær to Stokmarknes, the hometown of the Hurtigruten. On the way, you will experience a scenic ferry between the Lofoten Islands and Vesterålen before you arrive at Stokmarknes. Here you get to visit the exciting Hurtigruten Museum.

This museum is dedicated to showcasing the history of the Hurtigruten coastal steamer which has been operating in Norway for over 120 years. You can explore the history of the ships and their role in connecting the coastal communities of Norway, as well as learn about the various destinations along the way.

After visiting the Hurtigruten Museum, the next highlight of this tour is a self-guided walk in Stokmarknes. Via the Digital Story app, you can easily explore and experience the coastal city on foot. The story app will bring you to Artscape Nordland sculptures at Børøya, passing the impressive bridge between Hadseløya and Børøya.

After ending the interesting walk through the streets of Stokmarknes, you continue on to perhaps the biggest highlight of the day; a once-in-a-lifetime Hurtigruten cruise through the magnificent Trollfjord. The Trollfjord is a narrow and breathtaking fjord located in the Lofoten Islands and is known for its towering cliffs and crystal-clear waters.

During the cruise back to Svolvær, you can admire the stunning scenery and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this remote and unspoiled part of Norway.
