This winter kayaking trip is without a doubt one of the most adventurous and exciting ways to explore Ålesund during winter! Combined with a bath and a sauna after the kayaking, you will get an outstanding experience.
The meeting and starting point for this activity is the Uteguiden activity centre in Ålesund city, a perfect starting point for kayak trips. Here you will meet your guide and get kitted out with all the necessary equipment and get a safety briefing before starting the trip. On this trip, you paddle in tandem kayaks which will ensure you a great experience for all levels. When you get kitted with the dry suit and get down into the kayak, it's actually really warm! Your whole lower body will be warm down in the kayak and the upper part will be moving most of the time.
During the winter season, the Gulf stream supplies the waters with good temperatures as well as really clear waters, which will give you the opportunity to see fishes & starfish. Your guide on the tour is certified and have great local knowledge – something that will assure that you get a great day out on the water.
After a couple of hours out on the water, we end the trip in Svai Sauna for a bath and a hot sauna. A unique experience and an adventurous way to experience Ålesund!
