The hotels has traditions dating back to 1866, when the English lords came fishing for salmon in the Gloppen River.
The beautiful nature with snowy montain tops, glaciers and sparkling fjords are a big attraction for visitors at Gloppen Hotel. But just as much, the guests enjoy the wonderful local food that is served. Here everything is local and homemade. 16 farmers from the area deliver their produce to the hotel.
The hotel has won several awards for their work on local food. Among them Ganefart 2010- the best place to eat along the road in Norway, Tourism Award 2012 and Best Menu 2014.
The hotel also offers a wide range of activities such as teambuilding, master chef competitions, beer tasting of their very own brew, guided hikes and much more.
