The Planning

Before heading off to Norway, it is a good idea to do some planning and also make reservations in advance since the tour is very popular and can get sold out. Other popular places to stay during the tour are Voss, Gudvangen, Finse and Geilo.  It´s up to you where or if you want to stop over during the tour and what you would like to see and do. The Tour

Transport/transfer
Norway in a nutshell® is a self-guided tour and you travel on your own by following your confirmed travel itinerary and bringing your electronic tour ticket. The connections are all within close proximity to each other for easy transfer. Even though you travel on your own, there will always be other travelers on the same tour as you. If you want to socialize and maybe share some stories, it will be no problem getting in touch with other people during the tour.

Food
There are no meals included on the Norway in a nutshell® tour, but not to worry, there are many options for you to get a "bite" during the tour. Onboard on the Bergen railway (regional trains) and on the fjord cruise between Flåm and Gudvangen there is a cafeteria section where you can buy small dishes of hot/cold food, snacks, and drinks. In Flåm you will find quality restaurants in the local hotels and if you prefer a lighter meal there is also a bakery and a "snack bar" available.

Luggage
You can bring your luggage with you on the travel, but be aware that you have to carry the luggage yourself from train to bus to boat.
If you are traveling with lots of luggage, it´s recommendable to book luggage transport. Fjord Tours offers luggage transfer between most hotels in Bergen and Oslo and it can easily be booked together with your tour. If you are having overnight stays during the tour, just bring a small backpack with you for the night and send the rest of your luggage to your ending destination.
