The Flåm Railway is a train journey unlike any you have taken before. One of the steepest rail journeys in the world runs between Myrdal, high up in the mountains, and through scenic valleys all the way down to the fjord village of Flåm.

This scenic railway takes you past snow-capped mountains and waterfalls. It’s also renowned for its spectacular tunnels that wind through the mountains. One of the steepest lines in the world, Flåmsbana is a historic railway featuring original carriages.

Be ready for an exciting experience when the train stops at Kjosfossen, the biggest waterfall on the journey. Look closely and you may even catch a glimpse of a huldra, a mythical creature with an incredible singing voice.
