Voss Folkemuseum is a local museum whose purpose is to preserve items of historic interest from Voss and the surrounding area.
Voss Folkemuseum comprises the three old farms, the old farmstead at Mølster (Mølstertunet), the old farmstead at Nesheim (Nesheimstunet) and Oppheim old parsonage.
Mølster Farmstead is situated high in the hill-side overlooking Voss. It is easily visible from the centre of Voss, and traffic signs point out both the road and footpaths to the Museum.
In the Farmstead at Mølster one can feel transported back into history. The 16 old farmhouses are built in the periode ca 1600-1870. The buildings are well preserved and were in use until 1927. The buildings stand today where they have always stood and nothing has been added or removed. The buildings, therefore, give a genuine impression of the working and living conditions which developed over the centuries.
