Voss Folkemuseum is located high in the hill-side overlooking Voss. It is easily visible from the centre of Voss and traffic signs point out both the road and the footpaths to the Museum.
Here you can visit the authentic farmstead Mølstertunet. The 16 old farmhouses all stand where they always have stood and are built in the periode from around 1500-1850. The buildings, therefore, give us a genuine impression of the working and living conditions which developed over the centuries.
The museum also offer various exhibitions, activities for children, a museum shop and cafè.
Voss Folkemuseum also comprises the old farmstead at Nesheim (Nesheimstunet) and the Oppheim old parsonage. In addition the Magnus Dagestad Museum where beautiful work by woodcarver by the same name is on display.
