Northern Lights walk in Tromsø
Get to know the famous Northern lights and the local myths and history surrounding them by simple putting on your walking boot and setting out into the evening with our expert local guide
This walking tour starts in the centre of town at Kirkegata 1, making it easily accessible. Our local guide knows the local hotspots for seeing the Aurora like the back of his hand and will lead you away from any light pollution.
All the myths and history surrounding the Northern Lights and the town of Tromsø will be explored, as will the science behind this extraordinary natural phenomenon. The people of the Arctic and the Polar town of Tromsø have been influenced culturally and historically for centuries by the presence of the Northern Lights, and you will gain insight into how the Aurora has, and still is, leaving a mark on anyone who sees her.
After the Northern Lights tour, warm up with a drink at the welcoming pub. Skarven is a local favourite and one of the most popular pubs in town with the cosy atmosphere needed after having challenged the Arctic winter.
